Sayan Roy Chowdhury — the engineer behind Byte Sherlock

Sayan Roy Chowdhury (“Sherlock”) is the engineer behind Byte Sherlock. He handles every repair personally — diagnosis, the written quote, the repair and the warranty. That is the point: one accountable person, not a call centre and a rotating bench.

Background

Sayan has 6+ years of hands-on repair experience across laptops, desktops, phones and small-office networks in Barrackpore and North 24 Parganas. Byte Sherlock is licensed by Barrackpur Municipality (Trade Licence 0917P383126565451, valid till 28-Sep-2027) and GST-registered.

How he works

• Diagnose first: identify the fault and explain the test before quoting.
• Written price: fault, part, labour, warranty and total before chargeable work.
• Parts at cost +10%: the invoice is shown; original-grade and compatible options are priced side by side.
• 90-day labour warranty: parts carry the seller or brand warranty.
• Data care: no password storage; backup consent before risky work.
• One accountable engineer: the person who quotes is the person who repairs and hands over.

What he repairs

Laptop no-power faults, screens and hinges, batteries and charging ports, keyboards and touchpads, overheating and thermal service, SSD/RAM upgrades, Windows install and Windows 11 migration, virus removal, data recovery, Wi-Fi and network support, custom PC builds, and phone screens, batteries and charging ports.
