Windows 10 Support Ended: Your 3 Options Explained
What happened
Microsoft ended Windows 10 support on October 14, 2025. No more security updates, no more patches, no more driver support. Your laptop still works, but it becomes less safe every month you stay online with it.
Option 1: Upgrade to Windows 11
We back up your files, check hardware eligibility (TPM 2.0 and CPU), install a genuine Windows 11 licence (billed separately), and migrate your apps. Labour: from ₹1,499. Licence: at actual cost. Backup: from ₹699 to your drive.
Option 2: Extended Security Updates (ESU)
Microsoft offers paid Extended Security Updates for Windows 10. This is a temporary bridge, not a permanent solution. The ESU window ends October 12, 2027. After that, there is no path forward.
Option 3: Stay on Windows 10 (not recommended)
Your laptop will keep working, but new security vulnerabilities will not be patched. If you use this laptop for banking, shopping, or work, this is a real risk.
What we actually do during migration
Backup first (to your external drive). Check CPU and TPM compatibility. Install Windows 11 with a genuine licence (we do not use cracked or pirated versions). Migrate your apps and files. Test everything before handover.
